I have a question that I can not find the answer for. Should by transmission/transfer case be level in the frame (my rear output yoke is down 5 degrees while my front output yoke is up 5 degrees) ? Should I shim the transmission/transfer case to level both yokes parallel with the ground?

    Thanks

Good Question, is your frame level? Seems to me my frame was high in the rear, after new springs, and the Trans and Transfer case was level. I will have to look at my pictures to see.

You didn’t mention year or model, but these drivetrains are built with a few degrees of downslope. As long as your pinion angle matches your t-case angle to within 1 or 2°, you’re fine.

Usually, if you try to level the drivetrain to match the frame, the transfer case will hit the floor at around 2° on the early 5s. Most (all?) came with 1/2”-3/4” spacer shims between the transmission crossmember and frame.
