Vented windshield, mostly complete, looks to be missing wiper motors and the glass is broken.

Super stoked to have found it at the G503 open house today.

I left it at my Dad's place and he had it taken apart and fixed a couple of spots got all the hardware off and is repainting it too. Now I need to get glass put in and find the seal for the outside of the glass.

Thanks, but I think I am going to go with Electric, since I don't have the Vacuum style fuel pump.

Any suggestions for who has good prices on electric wiper motors that the shaft fits under the stand offs for when the window is down?

I never have had good results with the electric wiper motors I have tried, but that was years ago, and they were "El Cheapo" brand (JC Whitney). There may be better quality versions nowadays. With those I did try the shafts were way too long and I had to modify them.

I have good working vacuum wipers on my CJ5 but it does have the dual action fuel / vacuum pump.

I have M151 NOS vacuum wipers on my CJ2A with just a hose off the manifold as was original to the Jeep. The M151 motors don't have individual valve switches, so I just plumbed in a cut off valve. They work okay but with the usual shortfalls of that system. RainX is my friend.

One of my hot rodding buddies used an electric vacuum pump, such as is used for brake boosters on some cars, on his 32 Ford Coupe, and they seem to work fine. I intend to try that on the CJ2A at some point, but it is not a high priority since that Jeep doesn't get a lot of road time, and is driven most of the time with the window folded down. It would be cool to have vacuum wipers that are not reliant on manifold vacuum and can be turned on with an electric switch.

I only put it on to see how it fit, I forgot to sit in the seat and see how the view was. :banghead:

It is easy enough to get off and on, I still need to get glass put in it and find some of the latches for the widow side to hold it on at the very least.

Look at Marine wiper setups they have more than the 90 arc found on the jeep replacements

The one on my 56 makes it harder to see out of. But I am taller. The 71 frame I put on my 66 is much better.

I cut the aftermarket electric wiper shafts down to fit so the windshield can still be folded down. It takes some patience, but it’s worth it. Just leave the nut on while cutting the tube so you can chase the threads.

So that’s how you make extra room for long legs! A new hole(s)! 23524FF0-8441-4633-91E0-C2FDB0E26458.jpeg

That hole was already there, and they did the wheel well notch as well, then I added a slider to the seat base and got the bestop seat that is a little slimmer than the Rugid Ridge seat. Every little bit helps. :D

Looking to get glass in it in the next few days, then all i need is to pony up 95 bucks for the frame to frame seal.
