Steering Box Rebuild Kit #

Offering this up in case anyone finds themselves in the same situation. I am rebuilding my saginaw steering box (yeah, I screwed up and also removed the shaft bolt) and had a hard time figuring out which seal kit worked with my 3.5" piston, on the 5687962 stamped case. Every time I spoke with my local, they gave me the kit with the 3" piston (kit# 8522).

The Edelmann kit for the 3.5" piston, 13/16" OD spline in case 5687962 is #7858. This case according to one site is also referred to as the Saginaw 808, but may come with different input shaft configuration.
