Wheel Paint

    I’ve just started in the group and found this discussion helpful. Thanks Donny for validating what I found on my 64. Have original rims, one that has never been used I think. Definitely black on the inside and were painted white on the outside. I can clearly see the black on them and the white drifted thru slots to the back. Believe it came that way factory based on a picture I have of mine from 1964 with the white outside so I know my dad didn’t paint them.

    I can imagine the black on the inside would be helpful with keeping them looking decent once the knuckles start dripping grease haha. I'm also very tempted to paint my wheels white.

    FWIW - My 1977 (23,500 original miles) also had black inside/white outside paint scheme.

    A 1975 I had were all white. Guess there are are some differences.
