I picked up Jeep this past week and it’s running 100% better & Smoother. He tested and found a vacuum leak at the passenger side intake manifold gasket. He said it was ok for now.

The vacuum assist wasnt working on the distributor l, he replaced it and set the timing. He also replaced the fuel pump & changed the oil.

It seems to be making oil, He thought it might be the fuel pump causing it, what else could it be??

I am going to take it work tomorrow so I can wash it during my lunch. Then finally after 10 months the wife and I are going on a Parade of Homes date in the Jeep.

I installed a new front light bar!

My next projects are going to be paint the engine bay & the inner fenders. I hate opening the hood and it looking the way it does. I am going to paint them black using an surface tolerant industrial epoxy (PPG Amerlock 2/400 l) and a urethane (Amercoat 450h) Any pointers, tips or tricks? I hope to also paint components of the motor.

I also have a Besttop bikini top, rear view mirror, other led strip lights & rear taillights to install.

I’ll post pictures tomorrow after I get her cleaned up, but below is a link to some pictures!

It can't make oil. If the level is rising it's gotta be either fuel or water getting in there.

A little concerned about this statement....
An intake leak (lean mixture), especially on a single cylinder, can lead to a burnt valve. I would think about prioritizing this repair ahead of painting the engine bay.....

I painted my engine bay - firewall, inner fenders, etc. when I pulled the engine for a rebuild - it was well worth it for sake of looks when you open the hood. You'll be glad you did!
