Where can I buy a smaller amount of thick rubber sheeting? I would like to make a new boot for my single stick tc shifter, and maybe my OD shifter once I get it installed and figure out what needs trimmed.

    Go buy an inner tube?

Ask for black EPDM roofing membrane. Or you could just buy an truck tire tube and fab something out of that. Also try a large truck stop and see if they have shift boots.

Picky about appearance? Offset printing presses use a laminated rubber sheet as a printing surface. Rubber face, canvas type backing...... about the same thickness. Just a cheap thought.

I just threw out some old (holey) Jeep innertubes!!! I wouldn't have done it but moving in July to Virginia. Coulda sent it to you for shipping. Oh well never fails. Throw it away, find a use.

I am still trying to figure out a OD shifter boot. My t18 swap has the OD shifter really close to the twin stick dana 18 boot, and at a place on the floor where there isn't much room.

I used inner tube from a lawn tracker tire (fairly thick stuff) for the t/c shifter and gear shift. Their holding up pretty well. Good part is if they go bad I have plenty to make new ones.

I used a piece of inner tube for my OD shifter. The hole that I cut for my twinsticks when I did the single to twin conversion is too large for a regular boot. IIRC Lynn used a boot from a International truck dealer to cover his twinsticks.

I've used pieces of a pickup tailgate rubber mat in the past that worked well.

Try 'Pool Liner' at your local hardware store or Home Depot... Its used to line Koi ponds and such, but its the perfect thickness, flexible rubber, and looks nice. You can buy it in a sheet by the linear foot.
