Brake hose/knuckle clearance

As I was cleaning up parts a little while ago, I wanted to test fit my 11" drums on my new "former disc" '81 D30 and discovered a clearance problem with the brake hose and the caliper ear on the knuckle. So, I was wondering if I could swap the passenger side wheel cylinder with the driver's so that the hose would come in from the front and not towards the ear in the rear. Is there any problem with switching wheel cylinders from side to side?
