I’m hoping someone can give me some measurements from their spare tire carrier. The one that normally mounts on the passenger side rear fender. Looking for the following measurements:

total depth from the fender to the face that the wheel rests on

spacing of the mounting bolts (the ones that hold the carrier to the fender)

    Thanks in advance! 6997A156-FDCB-442F-9123-2A148A8AC1DB.jpeg

There should be a body brace inside the quarter panel behind the rear wheel, that would help you fine where it goes. Good Luck.

I won’t be installing in the stock location. Trying to get the measurements to see if it would be a good fit for a custom rear mounted spare project.

Check out the M38A-1 rear tire carrier. It uses the mount you wanted dimensions for, mounted to a bracket that repositions it higher. This version spaces it out to clear the upper horizontal body support channel on the A-1 for rear mount spares. I've even used this military bracket on the original right rear corner to space the spare tire to clear wider tires/rims that stick out beyond the body sides.
