Im having my 304 core re built, when I go back in with it im upgrading fuel delivery. Does anyone have personal experience with the edelbrock efi programmable system that comes with injectors and intake? I cant seem to find a solid answer on any other parts i would have to order to make that kit function (high pressure fuel pump etc)
Im also looking at a Howell throttlebody system and comparing cost/benefit. Any advice helps I am figuring this out as I go and am a long way from a mechanic. My CJ5 will be a weekend/trail rider, nothing extreme.

I also am not going to be of any help, for your question, but just incase you decide to look at other options.......
I went with FiTech, their initial tech support was excellent. I got my engine up and running with one phone call.
However, then I couldn't save a backup of my data, again they finally diagnosed my issue as being old software. After a very convoluted process I got their hand held unit updated, it now saves my backups,....... but it won't log data. I can't tune the system without the ability to log how the engine is doing.

TWO tech support emails ignored and one dropped phone, my customer service token must have run out.

Since I am headed to Riverside later this month, I plan on walking in the front door to see if they can, "see me now"

If could go back and do this again, I would not go with FiTech. As I read in reviews they are not ready for prime time yet

I ended up ordering the edelbrock EFI it comes with the new intake and distributor that I wanted to replace anyway. Seems fairly user friendly. Only part that I cannot find is a high pressure “In tank” fuel pump to replace the mechanical one it currently has. Trying to stay away from external mount. Anyone have a good contact for a fuel pump? Ive got to get at least 60psi to the intake.

Don't know about Edlebrock. I used a AFI unit. Had some issues with cust service support. I'd look at Hamilton Fuel Injection if it were me again. He helped me out.. Holley has the Sniper efi .. A couple of bud's have Howell and also said tech support is sucky. Mine is hte full conversion. I replaced the distributor and ignition module. All parts are from 90's GM TBI.. I can buy parts at NAPA if need be.

My fuel pressure is ~12 psi. I used a GM pump and made it fir in the tank.

I went with Holley simply because of their customer service and tech support, it's outstanding. This was a 2bbl sniper setup on a 360.
