Doe anyone have a source for the heater motor only for the early cj5 (1961)? Still trying to free up electric motor, it turns but not very freely. but no luck so far. The motor has two wires and a separate ground and says Delco appliance 13.5 volt , 5/16 shaft 1” long. Motor 5” long x 3 1/4” across. Has two mounting bolt on one end. Anyone parting out an old heater and the motor still works? All my heater box is cleaned and freshly painted, just need motor. Even a source to locate a new one will be helpful.

These kinds of motors were fairly generic, probably still are. I used a '73 Blazer motor in my '88 YJ, for instance.

Try taking it into a traditional FLAPS and show it to the oldest guy at the counter.

Get a gm or ford blower motor and don't look back I can dig for my old motor but they aren't worth the cost to ship just get a 15amp motor. I also have a thread round here showing how to get air into the heater when set to recirculate.

Thanks for the sources for this motor and different options. I found an original motor with fan and box. Will try that out first, if that doesn't work will get a new motor.
