Ive been driving my jeep around the shop latly tring to work the bugs out before I hit the road with it. I tried a little 45 degree dip at a angle that is only 3 or 4 foot down ,it did fine untill I hit it at a 45 putting the front drivers side wheel down first it got really tippsy . It has a fair case of jeep lean about an inch on level ground. Best I can tell its settng on a 2" lift from sears that has made in japan stenciled on the springs. I plan on buying a bds 2.5 kit later in the year. Ok Im wondering if it would be worth my time to swap the rear pass spring with the front driver side? Im worried if I go to tellico the way it is Im goin to become a Dan steward trainiee (sorry Dan couldnt help my self lol)

Jason, I don't know about a '62, but on my '57, the front and rears are not interchangeable. Couldn't hurt to swap the front springs side to side, but what worked for me was a new set of 0-1" Ranchos...

FWIW, I had about 1.5" of droop to the driver's side. I just drove on the right side of the crown to level it out.

I had a 3" lean and new springs did the trick. Drive 10 times better on the road.

I installed a 2.5 inch lift (superlift) and removed the 6th spring (too stiff). Great results

They are side to side, just not front to rear. Try swapping the fronts and see what happens.

The rear springs are longer than the front.

Jeep used to sell a kit to put a 1/2" thich spacer in between the spring and the axle on the high side. This was the factory-approved way to remedy lean. Reduces your suspension travel however, but maybe not significantly.
