70 CJ5 Front Bumper Bolts

    Do original front bumpers mount with one or two bolts on the bottom? Our frame has one bolt hole on the top and two on the bottom. ??

    Two rivets from what I recall of my '62 on the bottom, did they change to bolts somewhere in later production?

    Wasn't it 3 rivets per side?

    I had to cut at least 2 per off SSDutch to get the original front bumper off, but I think it had top, bottom and front rivets.

    Yup, I was thinking there was one on the front as well, but since Twolf didn't mention it I thought I was imagining things. I know for sure two on the bottom.

    My 71 had bolts not rivets, mine also had 1 bolt top and 1 bolt bottom.

    My stock '69 has one rivet on top and two below.

    Mine had 1 top, two bottom (rivets)... As far as the front, the PO had already had towbar mounts bolted on, so if there ever was rivets, they had been removed.....FWIW
