Gas Cap Question

    The cap from KW is the same as the one I got from Walcks and works fine. I have not noticed any sloshing spill over except when I fill it too full. So I stopped doing that.

    The problem isn't just topping the tank off. When you get the jeep on a good left side down side hill, even a half full tank can spill. On my CJ 5 with the fenderwell headers, guess what that drips on----------

    I would love to find a non venting cap!
    That would allow me to install a vent in the fill neck and run it where it can drip gas in a location that I choose...... obviously not on the exhaust.

    I tried that (I had a second tank in my '73) - I filled the vent in the center of the cap with liquid steel. Still seeped out around the cap some. Possible there are leakage paths in the cap that don't matter when the vent is there (around the rivets? around the riveted part?), but seep gas when the main vent path is blocked.
