    Hello all,

As i rack up the to-do list on my Frankenstein 1963 Willys CJ5 i am looking to replace with a more original look on for the tail lights. Right now there are the more modern rectangle lights with white/clear reverse gear on the lens and obviously a T90 does not have a reverse light. The lights are placed at the top of the rear panels and i believe they should be a rounded version and lower. I have tried to google pics but most are from the front. Can anyone help with pictures of their 63 CJ5 or similar as i am not sure what years were the same layout.

Greatly appreciated as you folks on here have been a tremendous help.

If you look at the old photo's the Jeep tail lights look like the old school Universal Trailer Tail Lights, so I used the ones that most auto parts stored sell around Michigan. I think the Name is Grote, they have displays in most of the Truck Stops and Chain Auto Parts Stores. That way you can find parts anywhere you happen to be. My jeep is a Tuxedo Park Clone, so I had them Chrome plated to look like factory Tux parts. The Value Auto Parts by me has a whole Wall Display of lights a truck driver might need to fix a broken light on his Rig. Good Luck.

There is an article on the CJ-3B page about tail lights that may help you: Jeep Taillights on CJ3B.info

Walcks has reproduction Hall lights that would be right for your Jeep: Tail Light Left Hall Style 1956-1969 Maybe other places sell them too.
As Rick points out, a lot of these Jeeps got the boat trailer lights as a replacement for the factory lights. Much cheaper than the factory-correct Hall repops, and will look more-or-less original to the uninitiated.

Somebody else with a Jeep from that era will have to provide location info.
