1956 CJ5, F134, 6 volt.... I'm going to install an NOS AC 4693 dual action fuel pump on my F134. The pump diaphragms and gaskets have been inspected/replaced by a pro to make sure they are tolerant of newer fuels and are in good order, otherwise the pump has never been used.

This pump has the "sliding pillow block follower". Since the "pillow" does indeed slide/move on the arm, is there a trick during install to make sure that the pillow is properly set on the cam lobe? I'll be using a .14" spacer per the tips on Derek's 3B page here: Willys Fuel Pump Installation at CJ3B.info For visual reference my model fuel pump is shown about 1/2 way down the page.

I've done fuel pumps before but never this type with the "sliding pillow". It may just naturally seat itself, but I wanted to ask for tips as I don't want to mess it up.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

No specific info for you. But I seem to recall a member here once posting about finding such a pillow block in their oil pan...

Yep - remembered that from a couple years ago and revisited the thread this morning. Hence my quest for knowledge/advice before moving forward :)

I've wondered about it too, thinking that maybe installing it with the sliding part at it's lowest on the arm would work?

I wouldn't sweat it, pretty much guaranteed it will center itself on the lobe when you bolt it down.
