okay first question, i unhooked my air filter today and i took the bottom off of it and oil came pouring out of it, anyone know why that is
second question is: i have the F-134 engine in my 67 cj5 and it runs but after running it for a while it will die and take forever to start again, i set the timing and everything and it would work fine for a while, it seem that when i hook it up to another vehicle to jump it that it starts fine the wire from the alternator is incredibly small, i wanna say like 14 or 16 gauge, could that be the prolem, any help is appreciated

As for the air filter, it's an "oil bath" air cleaner.....
You do need a bigger charge wire than you have, but I doubt is causing your dieing and hard to restart symptoms...

When it dies and you say that it "takes forever to start", do you mean that the engine turns over normally, but it just doesn't start up, or does the engine not turn over quickly, requiring it to be jump started?

The air cleaner is an oil bath type, the bottom is supposed to be about half full of oil. If the Jeep dies while driving, you need to drain the gas tank and remove the fuel line that runs from the tank to the fuel pump. Rust or debris will clog both the bottom fitting on the tank, and the line. Replace the fuel filter also. Worked for me, you'd be surprised how much junk can be in the bottom of the tank.
