Don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I can't find any info at all about what to do about the T90 bearing retainer!

Ok, so I have my 3.8L Buick, long shaft T90, used AA bellhousing adapter, and a factory jeep/buick bellhousing...

Now I need to find the correct length bearing retainer or clutch tube, whatever its called. I picked up my bellhousing and it had the factory adapter for the T86/T14 (I think thats correct?) So what have you guys done to fix this? I'm thinking of picking up another bearing retainer and cutting the tube part off and welding it to the other tube to make it longer. Option #2 is to buy one from Novak or AA, to pricey for me. Option #3, I don't suppose the bearing retainer from a T86/T14 will bolt up to a T90? I would think those would have to be the same length. The factory adapter is the same thickness as my AA one...
