How do you replace a throw out bearing? Is it pressed on? What tools do I need?

Unless you specify just the bearing, it will probably come as an assembly, already on it's carrier. Just the bearing itself would have to be pressed on to the carrier.

Should be pressed on. I've gotten an exact replacement from Advanced Auto Parts. The part number on mine was 1625 IIRC.

they come as an assembly you just slip on. I cant ever remember anyone getting just the bearing part. It may be possible, Just dont know anyone that has wanted to try to replace just the bearing.

When I bought one, it came as just the bearing. The press fit wasn't very tight though, I swapped the bearings out with a vice, a large socket, and a hammer very easily.
