t-98 vs t-98A

    I have seen some T-98's for sale - they are not the jeep application, and they do not have the PTO side plate.

    Does anyone know if the 'guts' of the T98-1R are the same as the T-98A.

    Now, I know that the input main shaft is different, but the internals -- are they interchangeable?

    I think that the t-98A guts is interchangeable with the T-18 (old style) that has the up-and-to-the-right reverse gear.

    I think you got it reversed. The T18 guts will go in a 98 case (thats what i did) but i dont think the 98 guts go in the t18 case, dont know why they wouldnt , but that is what i read.
