Hi! It's been a long time since my last post i was testing my t18a. UNBELIEVABLE.
I want to ask if there is after market tie rods for the m38a1 or ball joints, i think thats how they're called. I had converted the stock arrangement and now i'm using a saginaw manual steering box. I used the stock tie rods but the middle tie rod it's been straightened to be in line with the bar which is between the knuckles. Does anybody know something to change the mtre so i don't have to straighten it every time i had to change it.

Fivos, your other choice would be to change the passenger side knuckle to the 2 hole design so that you eliminate that tie rod end altogether, you would then have 1 tie rod tube running from knuckle to knuckle and then a shorter tie rod running from the front hole on the passenge knuckle to the steering box, then all your TRE's would be the same.

i build heavy duty streeing rods for this applacation, i build them out of 1.5 .156 wall tube or out of SCH 80 pipe, bolth have 3/4 bungs welded in, the pipe ones are 40.00 dollars each and the tubing ones are 70.00 dollars each.
i can weld a center tab for the other tie rod arm coming off the box but its some times easyer if i just supply the tabs and you weld where its fits best. i found even tho the axles are the same, some peaple mount the streeing boxs lower/higher or at differnt position so its hard to sell one set tab deminsion.
alot of the local guys us the SCH 80 ones i built and never broke them, and as far as the TRE's you can use the M-38 ones, they have a 3/4 shank ( thread ) and go into the stock knuckle, thanks jason.

    Thanks for your inputs.
Since Mcruff says it will work without straighten it, i'l try it this way before doing anything else. The conversion for the steering box was done according to his drawings and working perfect.
    Thanks again.
