Distributor issues?

    Upon trying to set the timing on my 4 cylinder '61 I noticed there was not a vacuum advance on the distributor. Is this normal? I thought they had this.

    Yup, normal.

    Some had it some didn't.

    I guess it goes with the no oil filter option I have.

    My "55 F-134 has the mechanical advance,(springs under the distributor plate),most 134's didn't have vacuum adv.
