    Hey all,

I cant seem to get my motor mount holes to line up. I can get one side in then, the other side doesn't seem to want to go down far enough. I have tried hammering the top of the mount, and lifting the rear of the engine to try and line them up, still nothing. You can see how close I am - any ideas or tips??

I fought mine too, but got them in. Look at your mounts, one has a round hole, one has slotted hole. I think this is how I installed mine. Install the round hole mount first, then install the slotted mount last. There is a left and right mount. Search on the site is where I read this.

As twin said the tcase tends to tilt the assembly some. I usually have to get it close then use a drift pin to get the other hole lined up. There's a surprising amount of give in the rubber.

Ah well I have not put the case on yet, maybe I'll try lifting the back right of the trans with some wood and a floor jack

So, I took the tranny off the cross-member and have it resting on a piece of wood on a floor jack. I played with it and managed to get the bolt started. Now I can't get it to come through the other side!!! It looks like the front of the engine needs to go up in order to get the holes to align. I have dropped the rear of the engine down low but still can't seem to get her. Guess I will keep playing...

I put the mount and thru bolt on the mount horn first then lowered the engine and bolted the mount to the block. Like said there is a left mount and a right mount. They are marked and are different. Get it wrong and the engine will be tilted down on the pass side.

Gotcha, well I finally got her, had to drop the engine way down in the rear. Engine looks level in the engine bay. Now its a matter of getting the holes on the tranny crossmember mount aligned...

Don't forget that the 225V6 and tranny are off-set to the drivers side a bit (don't remember how far) which is evident by the frame mounts.
