Just picked up a plug wire set from NAPA just before they closed and they are way too short. The NAPA website and the invoice says "1970 Jeep Kaiser Corp CJ5 3.7 L 225 CID V6" part #2612. Did someone put the wrong wires in the box or ????????. Has anyone else had this problem?? Thanks Don

i had the same problem wiht the napa by me and the autozone. it seems like pepboys has a number that will work in the books, ut the wires are somewhat long. if i remember right two or three of them are as short as the wire going from the coil to the cap... hope ya caught it before you walked out of the store.

I had the same problem w/ Autozone set. Didn't matter if it was the cheap ones or the more expensive ones.

I had the same problem years ago, finally just bought some Accel universal 8mm wires and cut them to fit.

Here is what I think happens. Someone buys 3 sets of wires, takes them out of the box and selects the best fitting ones for their engine, puts the left overs back in the boxes and returns them. Either that or the wire mfgs just make a few different lengths, and one box of wires is *close* to the optimum length for a half dozen engines.
I finally bought some bulk wire, terminals, boots and pliers and I make my own. I use a piece of copper wire with inch marks on it. The wires last longer, look better and are out of the way.
Yep, the answer is often: More tools

I've always been happier with custom cut to fit wires vs plug and go. It does make it an afternoon project vs 10 minute job though.
Often a cut to fit kit will include enough stuff to make one spare wire for the parts box to.
