Another Dauntless Oil Pump Question

    Hey guys, hopefully my last question regarding the dauntless oil pump.

    I got my new one installed but I noticed something interesting. The pressure release valve points toward the crank instead of straight forward. It did make it a bit difficult to get one of my timing cover bolts on but that seems to be it. All the holes and everything else lines up... any ideas?

    All I can say is there are/were many variations of the oil pump cover.
    Some angled the oil filter differently as well.
