Take a look at my (weak) first draft website... just threw it together to publish a few pics...

    http://home.comcast.net/~tryelton/jeep.html

This jeep is all original as far as I know (I'm second owner) and I would love to help you out! Since it's down to the bare frame, I should be able to take some pretty detailed pics and post them.

Interesting on the Art Sacks thing.

    I checked this:
    http://www.willysdealershipproject.com/

    It's listed, address unknown.

I see Vern has one listed for Greenfield too. Perhaps I could get my parents to take a pic of what's there now sometime. The address isn't too far from their church.

    Totally OT yes, I know.

    BTW, great looking Renegade.

Have you added it to the registry yet?

Nice looking Renegade. Ditto on the question about the paint. If it looks as good as the picture shows, I would seriously consider not repainting it even if it doesn't look perfect.

From beeser: "Is it possible to get some information on your rig for comparison purposes? The previous owner of mine did a little rework of the wiring and I would like to bring it back to original condition. Let me know if you need any similar help on my end. It has not been disassembled yet for restoration."

-Definitely! I will help any way I can, just lost (*snif*) over a hundred digital pics taken as I disassembled... a REAL bummer.

I will take more pics of the paint condition... I am REALLY interested in some opinions on the original paint issue, speaking of which: i need to know what (if any) paint was originally used on the 1)Frame 2)springs 3)axles 4)bumper 5)anything else that I can't see in any of the old promo pics on this site.

    Thanks a million guys!

Sorry to hear about the loss of all those pics. Let us know if you need help in where everything goes when it comes time for reassembly.

I already expressed my opinion about keeping the original paint on the tub, fenders, etc. if possible. Good question about the chassis paint. My guess is that it's ordinary chassis black, not too shiny but not flat either.

    GOOD NEWS!!!

Well, I gave my office a MUCH NEEDED cleaning, and found a cdrom that said 'Backup' so I threw it in the computer and loand behold: I backed up the Jeep pics!!! So, I am going to change around the webpage http://home.comcast.net/~tryelton/jeep.html so the gallery pages load a little quicker, and they are a little more organized!

Thanks again guys for all the encouragement... and once again, since I have this baby completely torn apart, lemme know if there is a special pic or bit of info someone needs... if you see a question in another forum/thread, send them over to me!

    thanks,
