   Can someone tell me where the 3 wires need to go that exit the odd fire HEI as commonly seen on eBay
   Look like red, green and black wires.

   The three wire plug is the feed for the cap. An HEI only takes one wire (switched +) to run which plugs in just in front of the 3 wire plug.
