I understand that it can be useful, but I don't want to invest too much.

Question 1 : with a winch I can tear for example timbers or trees or a table, a window.
But if I tear something which is in height, I take it on a first level and then I want to release and put down on the ground, does it goes slow of does it fall (and breaks:cry:)
It is not a crane, as I understand.

Question 2: it is electric; do I need to fix a 2nd battery, maybe a smaller one, as I have already, purpose was to feed a computer in a show).

Question 3 : I suppose that I have to look at Warn importer. Some products seems cheap, I am not sure that it will work many years! I need also some minimum capacity, what is the minimum useful for standard use?
    Thanks for help.
I prepare to move to my country house, and want to invest in productive equipment, being alone with my wife. First investment will be a big good electric generator (powerstation) because without electricity, we are nothing. Lot of people in cities forget this!

Question 1: most winches have power in and power out, that is what you would want for this purpose. to control the out speed.

question 2: for light winching your main battery should be fine, you may need to charge the battery when you are done though as your alternator/generator will most likely not keep up with it.

Question 3:As far as capacity I believe the rule of thumb is somewhere around 1.5x the weight of the vehicle, is if you have a 3,000lb jeep, a 4500lb winch would be fine.

The typical size for a Jeep is an 8000 pound winch. Warn has a couple of lines now so research is important. There is a big difference between a US made or Chinese made. The availability for you may be an issue. Shipping on a winch can be expensive as they usually weigh about 100 pounds. Hopefully you can find an importer that has several choices.
