I just finished installing my rebuilt Chevy 4.3 V6 into my early CJ5. I have noticed there are a couple of different ways to install a power steering set up. I would like to install the Ford reverse rotation power steering but am afraid I don't have the clearance. Has anyone else used this set up with the Chevy 4.3 V6 swap like mine? I am using Advance Adapters engine to frame mounts and the Novak C1 transmission kit. I'm thinking the Chevy power steering in front of the cross member maybe a better option for me. Any help would be great.

I have not done the ford swap but I have seen them. The steering box in front of the cross member (jeep style) is better in almost every sense.
I use this as a guide. Once you cram a v6 in the engine compartment, it gets full quick, why would you want to add a steering box in there to crowd the radiator and everything else. I don't particularly care for the noise of my fender well headers but it sure clears up the underneath for work and or trail repairs. I try not to fill this up to much so I can see and work on things without taking half the the darn vehicle apart.
