Well, here are the pix, I hope. This skid steer was basically built when bought it. It was not running, had no brakes, and the PO said it was so fast it scared him, so he parked it. I installed an HEI, got it running, and started listing problems, it IS too fast, had no brakes controls were awkward and the wiring resembled a 60 year old Jeep. Been working on it ever since.

Without brakes I would imagine the steering would be near impossible.

Walt, as you mentioned, without brakes, steering is very difficult, you might say non-existent, LOL.

Got the third gear reduction designed, parts bought, the brakes will need 2 master cylinders, 4 wheel cylinders, probably shoes and small parts kits. Still haven't the forward/reverse linkage and throttle ????
The skid steer has 2 hand levers for steering brakes, I'd like to incorporate throttle and shifter into the hand levers.

Sterician, that's; what I was thinking, the shifter is a little more of a challenge. It needs to have reverse, neutral, low ? Drive, Park. I don't know if the trans is 2 or three speed, but it will be ran in Low and Reverse most of the time, would like to use park when necessary. Would like to keep all controls on the hand levers, this may not be possible for a full function shifter, a gated floor shifter might be the only solution.
