OK, just ordered a pair of SkyJacker Softride 2.0" lift front springs, ubolts, and all the necessary hardware. We'll see if that helps any with the ride. I'm not wheeling much in it, so I'm not too concerned on how they'll hold up if abused. My kidneys need a break. What is it they say about CJs, it's now about articulation.. it's about hang time!

OK... the Skyjacker soft-ride 2" leaf springs have been put on the front. I can now jump up on the front bumper and bounce it with good vertical travel for the first time, can hear the new shocks whoosh a little. On the road, the fronts absorb the bumps and potholes really nice now. I am sold, these things make my 73 ride sooooo much better now. I went ahead and ordered two for the rear. Once I get those on, I'm confident it will ride like a Cadillac, with turnips in the trunk.

    Cheers,

Did you use that Rocky Road conversion kit?
I've been thinking about it, even though it's pretty expensive.

No conversion kit, just straight SkyJacker Softride springs and bushings and SuperLift shocks. I now have the SkyJacker rear springs mounted and it's great. I took it out for a spin this evening and it rides so sweet now. If you've got a stiff ride and tire of getting your kidneys beat to death... this is the trick. Highly recommended.
