Has anyone tried one of those finned aluminum gizmos that wrap around the oil filter and are fastened with a circle clamp? I know "J C Whip-me" sells them and I also see them on eeek-bay. I have seen one now and then on motorcycles.
I have a 3/4" slab of solid aluminum that I use as a heat sink for my laptop computer. It works very well at absorbing heat.
Just curious if anyone has any comments.

Yeah, I can't see that producing much cooling. I have been just recently looking at oil coolers and spin on adapter kits. Prolly $150 including the remote oil filter kit. I may customize a radiator using an oil cooler in the tank where a trans cooler would reside. (slightly bigger passages than the trans cooler element)
