I'm doing a disc swap on a '71 D30. I'm wondering if the spindle studs have to be swapped out for longer ones so the caliper mounts can bolt to them or do I have to replace the knuckles with later year ones?

Yup, just put in the disc brake spindle studs and you'll be fine. These can be had from many sources including Six States Distributing, R&P, Any Spicer Dealer, etc. Nickmil.

Six states was the cheapest I found for my D27 knuckles.

Hmmmm I never changed the studs on my 30, and still have 5 or 6 threads sticking out....?

www.vintagejeeps.com has the rotors for 50 bucks that youll need.... everywhere else was near $100.
