I'm working on wiring in my electric fan and I would to put in a buzzer that buzzes when the fan is off. I was going to use a Cole Hersee 4099 buzzer. I'm going to wire the fan into a relay and run an "Idiot light" when the fan is on. I've found how to wire the when the fan in on but not when the fan is off. Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Don

Are you running the fan manualy with a toggle switch to the relay?

if yes pretty simple, you can have a two position on/on toggle switch.

So you put the 12+ on the middle terminal, you put the wire that activate the relay on the left terminal and a wire to you're buzzer to the right terminal.

So one position power go to relay, on the other one the power goes to the buzzer.

I put a warning light on my dash using this configuration, so when i turn off the fan the light go on.

it's the red light on the pic. (the heater on/off sign is obsolete, need to make a new one)
