Can someone with a late 1960s CJ5 look under their RH wheelhouse behind the spare tire carrier and see if these two scallop shaped extra pieces of metal up towards the top of the wheelhouse are OEM?

Is that a question about the emergency/parking/hand brake assembly?

On both my 1966 & 1967 tubs, the only piece in that area is the square piece with the notch. No evidence that they ever had the closer piece you point out--and I can't picture where your second scalloped piece is located, but I don't see it on either of mine.

    OK to the original post
I hate to see parts that could be saved go to scrap
this one took a little time to free it up . first the ratchets then the rod
and I've known to buy parts I really don't need = spare part (y)
my painting tree and coat hangers have been well used over the years
and you all know the story , if you need it . it can't be found

Not sure about the top ones but the lowers with the bolt holes are for the seatbelt.

I recently picked up a lot of old m38a1 parts along with a mystery frame with the number 239371 1 stamped on it. Those are all the numbers I can read. Anyone have any clue about this particular frame?

Looks like a pretty standard ecj5/m38a1 frame....I am not the best at differentiating cj5 vs m38a1 just from the frame so maybe others can give more. I think the m38a1 would have had the shackles on the rear of the front springs. I thought that it might have a cj5 frame mounted batter box, but after zooming in, not sure what that riveted tray looking thingy on driver front frame above the axle is...

Then it would be an M38a1 frame for the OP....

If it's an M38A1 it should also have a mount toward the rear for machine guns.

PO took a cutting torch to the steering column, brake pedals and battery tray - not sure why. The battery tray suggests it's not a M38A1. There's also no machine gun mount.

Hello. I have a 1970 CJ5 with Dauntless v6 that appears to be mostly stock from what I can tell.

The passenger side has this bracket that looks like it would be for a door support of some sort. However, the driver's side does not have this nor are there any sign of pre-drilled holes that have been covered up from the previous owner. On the driver's side, there are no signs of any holes even being there when looking under the dash. Any ideas why this is just on the passenger side and not the driver's side? (Please overlook the paint job. I'm trying to find a shop to strip and repaint to the original Avacodo Green color.
