Hey Guys, bought and am rebuilding a 73 cj5. Only thing good so far has been the fresh build on a GM SB 400. Everything else was as Mickey Moused as I have ever seen. Almost done with the front floors and building a transum hump and shroud but want some suggestions if anyone has any on collum length. I was looking at the 30 or 31 inches from Summit. I'm putting racing seats in the front with harnesses. Here are some pics of what I bought vs what I've done in the past couple of weeks when time allows. I have no experience in restores or rebuilds and have been finding tips online. So comments are welcome.

    just thinking put loud....
I think I would wait till you have the seat mounting brackets and seats installed before deciding on column length.
You already have/know what the stock column tube length was, correct ?
I would get tilt as well if it were me.

I was thinking the same thing about the seats and brackets. I will definitely get a tilt and have a BM floor shifter. I'm also going to put the ignition on the dash. The one that was in there was a messy GM transplant that was 34-long, I just haven't seen anyone reference using one that long before
