So, today, I finished plumbing in the gas tank, took the Jeep down off the jacks and put it under its own power, but only in and out of the driveway and in front of the house. Clutch is smooth, brakes are fantastic, except I need to lengthen the vacuum booster pushrod. The are definitely powered, though. Next thing I will do is register it and then take it out on the road to see how it handles.

Since I am not yet ready to change to the street rubber I have for this Jeep -- need to get them and the mag wheels cleaned up and one of them is flat -- what is a good pressure for 31" 10.5 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws on the street? I don't plan on keeping them on long as I will be using the Jeep on the street for a bit, once I get it registered, but for now I have to.

Thanks for all the help you have given me in getting to this point. It is greatly appreciated.

    Congratulations :D
I'm not far behind you, I connected my 66 CJ5 to fuel this week, started her up and she ran great but had a leak in the fuel pump. I decided to put a plate over the fuel pump hole and go with an electrical pump. I got all the parts today and will have Monday to get her pumping and running. I'm also going to do the bed liner Monday. I can't wait for the finished product :)
    Good-luck to you!!

Good luck to you, too. What part of Utah are you from? I was born and raised in Logan. Been 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, skiing since I was born, it seems.

I was born in SLC, lived most my life in Provo, Worked at Hill AFB for 8 years and lived in Layton, now I'm back in Utah county living in Payson, we've lived in Payson for the last 21 years. Like you, I've fished, hunted, backpacked 4-wheeled, skied, did I say fished Utah, my entire life. My sister lives in Hyde Park, I don't see in your profile where you are now, are you still in Logan??

Hey, nice looking rig!! What year is it? Even your bumpers look like mine.
Those tires sure look familiar. Thanks for the comeback. What kind of winch do you have? That will be my next move.

I wish, but unfortunately not. I live in Northern California where all the liberals totally abhor Jeeps, hunting and fishing, rifles, etc. Half of my family lives in Hyde Park. Send me an email at c.hancey@Comcast.net and let me know your sister's name. Hyde Park is so small, chances are we know her.
