   Does anyone make a gas cap for an early CJ5 that has the gauge built in like a lawnmower? My sending unit has been dead for years and I don't know how, or if I want to, replace the sending unit.

   I'm going to say, no.
   
   Replacing the sending unit is simple and super simple if your tank is under the driver's seat (as I suspect yours is given the year).
   
   I think a clear plastic tank similar to dirt bikes or boats would be ideal...Excellent way to monitor the fuel level.
