I used a piece of all-thread and lengthened the pushrod. I rounded the end of the all-thread to keep it from digging into the MC piston. I also used a jam nut to keep the rod from turning Now the brakes get hard less than an inch from rest position.

Any picks of how you made the longer pushrod? May need to do this myself.

Sorry, I didn't take any. But it is simple. Remove the master cylinder assembly from the vacuum booster assembly, and then pull the push rod out of the vacuum assembly. There will be a piston on the other end and it may look like it shouldn't come out, but there is a plastic or nylon piece that comes out and opens up the diameter of the pushrod hole, so the piston will come out. Once it is out, you can unscrew the pushrod out of the piece on which the piston is mounted. You will have to make a SWAG (Scientific Wild A$$ Guess) as to how long you need the all thread to be, but I needed almost an inch longer. If things change, or if I need to take it apart again, I will take some pix. You have to understand. I was in a hurry, because I got plates for my Jeep tonight and wanted it to be ready for its maiden voyage. I was smiling from ear to ear as I drove down the road and people were pointing at it and watching it come down the road.

The people were probably thinking, "look, that's a real JEEP!" Congrats! :)
