I've looked thru a couple old threads and have seen a few ideas, but what would b the best recommendation for installing a tilt steering column in a 69 CJ5. Kind of budget minded, don't mind hitting the salvage yards.
Best used column with least amount of fabrication???
    Thank you all in advance!

Do you have the stock Ross steering? If so, the column is part of the steering box.

On my 69 the column came out of a Cadillac and on my 70 it came out of a midsized Pontiac.

If you want GM wiring hookups, and no key on the column, Late sixties/Early Seventies Firebirds, and 70's Chevy Vans are good donors, *if* you can find any in the boneyards. Biggest problem with the Vans, is most of them are column shift automatics. But pulling that collar isn't that big a deal.
