shift decal 59 cj5

    Can anyone help me with measurements of where on the dash to place my new shift decal? I forgot to measure before I sanded for paint on my 59 cj5 with t90 speed and dana 18 twin stick

    I am thinking about mounting my decal on a piece of thin magnet material so as not to damage the paint on the dash.

    I don't think the factory was all that precise about where they went, Tonk's was actually crooked.

    That's what I did, in fact anything that I put on- ECJ5 sticker, Warn OD instruction, Eugene the Jeep peeing on a Land Rover logo etc. goes on with magnet sign sheet.

    As others have said, I think I have seen them mounted in several places. What is correct for a 1959, I don't know if there a correct answer.

    Mine came crooked from the factory.

    That's exactly what I did. Couldn't bring myself to put decals directly on the paint.
