So I need to flat tow my 68 over 300 miles and the gear box seal's leek when the fluid is up to temp.
Should i just drop the drive lines and not concern myself with running it dry?

And what should my top speed be for such a long haul the tires are 33" I don't want to burn anything up

You should disconnect the rear driveline regardless. It's only 4 bolts, just pull the straps, toss some tape around the ujoint so the caps won't fall off, and bungee it out of the way. The front driveline, you don't need to worry about, if you've got locking hubs, just unlock them
