How do I remove shift housing on the Dana 18 Transfer case

    What am I doing wrong? I slide the shift housing up, and it stops at a certain point. Is there a trick or something I need to do to get it to release? I'm trying to detach the entire shift housing for shipment.

    Remove the 2 detent plugs the 2 detent springs the two detent balls.
    Pull partway out.
    Turn on its side and the interlock (pill) should fall out.
