Does anyone have any information on when the last F-134 was built? Serial number? Did AMC use up the remaining ones during the transition in '71 to the new engine models? Were those made by Kaiser or Willys?

    Tough questions indeed.

F-134 remained available as the standard CJ engine through 1971.
Technically the Hurricane began as a Willys Overland design.
Kaiser Motors bought out Willys Overland in 1953.
Kaiser went by the name of Willys Motors Incorporated.
In 1964 they changed their name to Kaiser Jeep Corporation.
In March of 1970 they were sold again and the name became AMC Jeep Corporation.
AMC fully phased in their own brand of engines in 1972.
All remaining old stock engines were likely sold for replacement parts after that time.

Greg Roe of Willys Motors might have some further insight into that aspect.

It never hurts to dream of there being some NOS engines out there somewhere. ;)

The hurricane engine remained in production for years as an industrial motor, I have seen several forklifts built in the late 70's that had these motors in them.

That's interesting, I wonder who built them.

Remember Willys style vehicles were built for years in South America, India, and lots of other places after production was discontinued in the U.S.A..

Most of those places used their own engines and trany/tc combinations, though.
