Carter YF replacement

    Hi everyone, it's been a while since I have posted on here. Life has gotten in the way of my Willy's M38A1 project and unfortunately, I'm going to have to sell it. It hasn't been driven in about 2 years and I have pulled the Carter YF carb out of it to be rebuilt. That too has gone to the wayside and I cannot locate the carb (after moving twice)...

    My question:
    Are there any carbs that are a direct replacement for the YF available? Or is there anyone that makes an adapter plate so I can use something like a Holly 1 barrel carb?

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    All of the suppliers sell a bolt on Solex set up as a replacement for the YF. Just tell them you need a Solex for the F-head. ;)

    Yes, the Carter YF. Not hard to find NOS.

    Keep the carter it's the best thing you can do. They show up on eBay all the time.
