I'm the proud owner of a 1970 DJ5 with a locked up 153 and a powerglide. Rear diff tag is 3.73 and "use limited slip diff fluid only". I bought it for the intake/exhaust and previously installed HEI for my 3.0 Mercruiser but may swap in another 153 I have as it's in pretty good shape.

Do you think I would be lucky enough to have a Powerlock in it or is it a TracLok?

If it's a flanged axle, I would guess TracLock. Tapered axle should be a PowerLock.

Flanged. That's what I figured as well, but you can always hope!

Only way to know for sure is to pull the cover and look.

I put a DJ 5 rear axel in my 1960 DJ 3, it was a 3:73 with limited slip. While driving it off road I dropped the right front wheel in a hole, and lifted the left rear off the ground. I though, Oh Crap, but when I tried it the Jeep backed right out of the hole with only one rear wheel on the ground.
