I know John but you're also the first person I've heard that's had this issue with these tires. Everything else I read, have experienced has been good.

Yep...that's right. That's why I threw that in there about the wheels.

I sure hope it's not the wheels...I can drive slow and eventually wear these tires out and get new ones, but I'd have to throw the wheels away because I can't sell them to someone else if they're out of round.

Oh yeah, Sparky...I forgot...another tire that I was seriously considering before you mentioned the TrXus tire to me was the Dunlop Radil MT. At the time it was based on the price since these Dunlop tires were around $89.00 each but seems like I remember hearing some good reviews of them, and they were available IIRC in 31X9.5's

Swamper TSL Radial is the only 31x9.5 15 I know of. Everyone else makes a 31x10.5 15.

If I could score some Rubi wheels and tires I'd get the size I want but I'm not willing to buy 16" wheels just to get that size tire, MOP has 'em on his Jeep. You can get a metric size tRXUs in with a 16" wheel. I'll just get 31x10.5 15 again if I must.

Got a used set of Swamper TSL radials and I like them alot. Had it in some deep snow and tried them in some mud and didn't have any problems at all. Not to noisy on the road had it on the highway lastnight going 65 and was able to keep it between the lines.

I haven't had any problems with my 31x10.50 TrXus's. They only have about 2500 miles or so on them though. Ride much better than the old off-brand MT's I had before.

As much as I appreciate the tRXUS comments I have first hand experience with them. ;)

I like them, just not the sizes available.

I had a set of 36 TSL's on my Willys pickup. They were great but noisy (wich is fine with me). The best street tire sometimes offroad tire I've had was BFG All-terrains. The TSL's were great off road but the BFG's were better on the road and OK off. I'm using my for mostly on road some off and my next tire will be BFG Mud-terrain to see if I like them like the All-terrain. My brother also got 109,000 out of his All-terrains on his ZJ.

    I've got BFG AT's. I want a 31x9.50 15 tire.

Actually at this point in time I could go wheeling more than I could when I bought the AT's which would be nice.

Those replaced my BFG MT's. Price and lack of going off-road were the main reasons for that.

I've had TSL SSRs on my TJ and I've got straight TSL radials on my CJ/5. The radial SSRs lasted about 20k miles, and the TSLs even less. I'd stay clear of them for daily driver just from the economics of it. Otherwise, the SSRs didn't handle on the road too bad.

But if you have money to burn, I'd select the SSRs over the TSLs, but I don't have experience with the other models.

That's what I wanted to know.

Looks like it'll be the trxuS MTs.

    Thanks!

I meant to see the diffs in the tread pattern.
I've thinking on the trxus myself.
Just been really happy with the Pro Comps.

I know what the tread patterns looked like between the two. That doesn't tell me how fast they were and how good they are on snow/ice.

You could always get the Trxus STS. They look cool.
The only 1st hand, as in I've owned them, was the TSL Boggers.
I'd not recommend them to anyone for a dd. Awsome in the mud though.
Most all the Swampers were soft compond and dont last long on the street.
    Why Swamper?

Umm, like I said 10x in this thread. I want a 31x9.5 tire without having to buy 16" wheels. R)
