hello, my name is Jeremy. In December '13 i rescued a project 59 cj5 f134 from the scrap yard. my previous experience with jeeps are my own 88yj 2.5, and 95 yj 4.0l w/ cj front clip. Regretably sold the Yj but on to better things and this little gem fell into my lap. non running titled 59! when i bought it had no interior, the floors had been replaced by A previous owner (not sure if it was from the one i bought it off of), 3 different wheels, and some boxed parts and an extra engine/trans/TC. i'll post pics when i upload them to my laptop (most are on FB). In the year ive taken a non running cj and given her life. parts installed....electronic distributor, altenator conversion, solex carb, new coil, and all new wiring, glass bowl non vacuum fuel pump. i bought a OEM style under seat tank and newer low back seats. need windshield frame and fenders. have parts for front disc brake conversion and looking for 11" rears. I had to add hat channel to the bottom of the jeep which i did parallel to the frame above the body mounts and added rubber puck. newley installed digital voltmeter. my thoughts to continue the project are dual reservior master cylinder, and a handle lever for the e-brake. removing OEM style tank and using a custom fuel cell in the rear behind the rear seat with an electric fuel pump. i made a custom seat frame that mimics a bench seat frame and spans the width of the jeep which i'll redo when the fuel cell is installed. i found a cell with a small sump and i figured that would help with fueling while on a grade. i'm a newb to these jeep, the engine runs strong but needs new gaskets, i have oil and coolants seeping from everywhere when it warms up. before hitting the road she'll get those gaskets, a valve adjustment, and a new waterpump. i look forward to seeing your suggestions. ive been browsing the forum for ideas and suggestions. Thanks in advance

Welcome to ECJ5. We need picts to start. We also need to know what you want to do with the jeep. Advice on a daily driver is completely different than for a trail jeep.

But it sounds like you have some experience and a plan.

HMMM, a learnig curve, that's what you get when you start to rebuild older vehicles. I've only been doing it for 46 years, still lots to learn.
As Allison mentioned, pictures are always good.
