On my '64 I am panning on changing the pedals to swinging style of later models. I am debating if I need to remove the hump that the floor mounted pedal sits on. Or if I should have enough swing with it there that I will not have interference with the pedal at full throttle.

Lokar makes some good pedals that are adjustable - that is what I run in my setups for that.

If you off road it, don't change out the floor mounted pedal. The later swing version makes keeping an even throttle in rocks very difficult. You really need a deadman to brace your foot off of to make them work. I also think the floor mounted pedals are better just from an ergonomics standpoint.

That does make sense. I'll have to see what I can find for a cable operated setup.
