How many inches taller....

    I'm still in the very early stages of building my '61 CJ6. I'm trying to figure out if I want to use a 1" body lift (that I already have). Well, I'm trying to figure out if I can fit my jeep through the garage door if I use the body lift. I see both advantages and disadvantages to using it. Ultimately, I think my garage door will be a deciding factor.

    About how many inches above the top of the windshield frame is the top of your soft top? I don't have a soft top yet, so I can't install it to see how much room I will have.

    With the TigerTop on my B, the main bow is right at 3" higher than the windshield frame. My B has about 3" lift on the springs and a 1" body lift. With 33's, it clears a typical 7' garage door by about an inch.

    If you remember my '51 on 33s - 1" body, Holbrooks (2.5" or so). It will just clear the garage doors for the garage on the house (at least it did the last time I put it in several years ago).
