My t90 was recently professionally rebuilt. I test drove the jeep yesterday after finally getting it running and the transmission grinds when going into 1st and reverse. It is fine going into 2nd and third. The clutch was also recently replaced. What could the problem be?

Ok thanks. Was hoping it was not something major with the transmission.

At least that would be the first place I would check............Enough travel down to release the pressure plate , while also maintaining enough free play at the top of the pedal travel. Worn clutch linkage can also be an issue.........plenty of info on line to walk you through that.

Check Tarry99's suggestion first. T-90 is non synchronized in first and reverse so if you were moving when they were grinding that is why. Thick cold gear oil can cause this also.
